one town or city to live, good schools, kid friendly, jobs, etc, which one would you choose. You look online and a lot of areas "seem" nice but I would like to know from people who live there now.

Do you mean "in Arizona"? If so, then your "jobs" requirement narrows it down a lot. Maricopa County is the only place in AZ I might move without a job figuring the chances of finding one were pretty good.

I agree with Fountain Hills. Also, Scottsdale and some nice areas of Phoenix. I'd also check out Anthem for family atmosphere.

depends on how much you are willing to spend and how far of a commute you want. If you would be working in Downtown Phoenix count on at leat an hour to 2 commute from Fountain Hills, Carefree and Anthem. We lived in Surprise. Yes it was a rapid built area but our area was very nice with young families ( like ourselves) but then again we are military and enjoyed being close to the base. I loved the valley...just be sure to acutally visit the area you are planning to move to before buying. good Luck!

I agree with nevathadiva. I was determined from my online research prior to moving here that we would live in Fountain Hills or the Cave Creek/Carefree area.

In reality the commute alone knocked both those areas off our list in a hurry, never mind the prices.

We ended up in Arrowhead Lakes and are glad we did. I've seen a few posts here knocking Deer Valley Unified and I know there has been some nonsense at the district level (I'm sure we're not alone in that btw) but I've been extremely pleased with our local schools at all levels.
