I was in a car accident near Jonesboro AR. i'm from louisiana and driving the lady's 4x4 truck to her house when i as about to turn on the road she lives on and when i turn the blinker on i looked in the i seen a truck about 30 to 40 feet from us closing fast and when he hit us we went airborne 130 feet passed her road over a large ditch clipped a telephone pole the truck flipped upside down in the air went another 30 feet landed on it roof and slid 25 more feet on the roof the kid was going 85 to 90 mph when he hit us and didn't hit his brakes i only got 6 broke ribs and some little cuts the women she didn't come out that good she has 3 broken vertebrae a torn inside back ligament and a concussion so she get the helicopter ride to memphis trauma center but to get to the point the kid had $25000 insurance and she has $30000 the helicopter ride $16000 the trauma center $33000 the towing comp. didn't bring her truck to her house like told by her children to do and that's $5000 now. and now her health insurance won't pay anything that has to do with that accident she went to a neurosurgeon and she did see her but she also told her she would not see her again and that no others would ether because they don't get paid and i know what your saying get a lawyer she did and it still only #55000 in coverage after it happened i thought the kid was texting while driving but i found out he just got that truck and he was seeing how fast it would go and looking at the speedometer and not the road. what can you she do only her family doctor will see her the insurance is useless ?

I'm not trying to be negative, but for the many, many years I have had vehicle and accident insurance, I was always given the option of how much coverage I wanted. It appears, from your Post, that your friends insurance paid what she signed up for and paid premiums for, unfortunately, her expenses were much more than the coverage she signed up for. That is not the fault of the insurance company.

I agee Jim not to mention it was very hard to follow the story. I do think, if the story is right as worded the OP needs to contact the insurance company of the other driver. Something is just not making any sense. I wonder how old the gal is? If she is 65 or over medicare kicks in.

No, don't call the other persons insurance company. Her insurance company is responsible for doing that.

The health insurance may be initially denying the claims until they're sure that the auto insurance payout has been exhausted. That varies by state, though. One insurance pays first, and then the other one kicks in. I don't know the rules for Arkansas.

We can't help this woman with the information provided.
