Obamacare is a ruse. An expensive one.

Quote:
“Our deductible is so high, we practically pay for all of our medical expenses out of pocket,” said Wendy Kaplan, 50, of Evanston, Ill. “So our policy is really there for emergencies only, and basic wellness appointments.”

Her family of four pays premiums of $1,200 a month for coverage with an annual deductible of $12,700.
In Miami, the median deductible, according to HealthCare.gov, is $5,000. (Half of the plans are above the median, and half below it.) In Jackson, Miss., the comparable figure is $5,500. In Chicago, the median deductible is $3,400. In Phoenix, it is $4,000; in Houston and Des Moines, $3,000.

That is what we have found....

It is just another form of federal income based tax.
They give so much away, they need more to give to other nations to buy their friendship, and by votes to stay in power. They ran out of other peoples money. They figured out a way to get what is left over.

Why the shock? For-profit insurance is predicated on the premise that one will not use its insurance but pay the premium, while the client bets they will use it, because in this situation it is the delivery of health care, not life, car, property insurance. Of course people are going to use it frequently, so what is the equalizer? Co-pays and deductibles. After all pre-existing conditions do not apply anymore. Invest in Insurance stock.

IT does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that the health care brought about by the ACA was worse than most could get on the free market prior to that. between premium and deductibles it is only going to make medical bankruptcies worse, and force true government healthcare down our throats once people can not longer handle the mess of Obamacare.

Based on my experience, the individual gets to pick how they want the policy to look. I chose an 80-20 policy, with low deductible. I pay more up front but that's what its about. Meanwhile if you are younger then I (most are) take a lower cost with 60-40. I wish these options were around when my kids were young, I could have saved even more. Remember you only pay what the plan allows not the cost put out by accounting Dept. of Dr, or Hospital.

Yep, it's more of an expensive catastrophic insurance policy. The premiums are too high, as are the co-pays and deductibles.

I had a lower premium, lower co-pay and deductible policy that covered more before Obamacare.

Remember the names of the demlegislators who thought passing this legislation without reading or understanding it was a good idea.

We have to pass it to see what was in it legislative strategy opens the position of congressman or senator to anyone who might be illterate or blind with no finger tips.
Have a loved one or pal you think would be a good legislator encourage them to run for office. In the words of HRC, 'what does it matter?'.

Exactly. I and many people I know would have been better off keeping our far less costly catastrophic plans and self-funding routine medical care. Obamacare is a sick joke.
