Hey all!
I posted a thread a few months ago about Eureka Springs relocation--thanks to all who replied! I'm not wondering about Berryville, which seems to be the closest place for jobs. I'm wondering what this town is like: is it kind of Eureka Springs like in feel, or is it a more "traditional" Arkansas town? I can't really find much information about it at all, so I figured I'd try here

Thanks!

I rode my motorcyle there once on accident, the main difference I saw was the pride flags seemed to be replaced with rebel flags. Maybe you would get more responses in the NWA forum.

It's just a traditional Arkansas town. But it's pretty neat....it appears to be the county seat, with a town square and a fairly neat downtown area. (I looked it up and found that both Berryville and Eureka Springs share the title of county seat in Carroll County...who ever heard?)

Anyway, the terrain is nothing like the historic district of ES, but the countryside there is still very pretty. I've driven through there several times and was glued to the window the whole trip.

Look around at it on google street view....the pictures are the older ones, but you can still get a good idea of what it looks like.

Multiple county seats are not uncommon in Arkansas - courthouses in both Osceola and Blytheville (Mississippi County), Wikipedia says there are 10 counties with this arrangement.

No worse than some places in Colorado where "citizens" sneaked into the courthouse in one town, grabbed all the records, and set up a new county seat in "their" town.

This post is spot on.

It is a typical Arkansas/southern town and most people in the area work for Tyson.
