Hello. I currently live in central FL (about 40 minutes from Orlando). Honestly just doing my HW as of now and taking time to visit areas that I'd like to possibly move to in the future. I am getting tired of FL. Cost of living here is going way up. A lot of people moving here (and here I am thinking of moving... sorry). I want a more rural, low cost of living, peaceful vibe. The thing is; I am owner/operator of a small niche service business (pressure washing). So I need to have some suburbs or towns of like 10-20k people within like a 30 minute drive. I know people in really rural areas won't pay for my services. I don't want to live in the suburbs. But I need people around me that live in the suburbs. So I figure I can commute 30 mins or so. I'm single, no kids, conservative, Christian, mid 20's. Just kind of looking to get out of my hometown and see what else is out there. I like fishing, outdoors stuff, hunting, shooting.

Main interests: peaceful living, low cost of living, good fishing/hunting, suburbs nearby for my business to continue to operate (been doing this fulltime now for 3 yrs), mild climate if possible(?)

You are going to have to find the more prosperous cities and then search out neighborhoods from there. I'm not sure what the HOA situation is, but HOA's will often require specific upkeep so those are in your favor if they exist. IMO, your best choices are around Conway, parts of Little Rock like the western side or Northwest Arkansas closer to Bentonville. If I were looking, I'd get on realtor com and start looking for more prosperous housing areas. You can research there and possibly also go to some open houses and talk to realtors. You could also possibly pick up clients that way.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

From your Missouri thread (Where I live, I can drive to MO in an hour, so I study both):

What sort of "future politics" are you concerned about?

I'd look at NW Arkansas (Fayetteville) or Conway, then Little Rock.

I wouldn't call AR a mild climate. Maybe it is compared to central FL. It is extremely hot here in the summer. The rest of the year isn't bad. It gets much colder than FL.
