Is there a healthy advanced manufacturing job market in Mountain Home like there is in Jonesboro? I was just curious since Mountain Home seems like a really nice town.

There is some manufacturing in the area.
What sort of job are you looking for?

Nothing like Jonesboro and not nearly as big or fast-growing.
More isolated from major highways. Not a college town, but there is a satellite campus there for ASU I think.
Mountain Home is popular with retirees and those who want to spend most of their downtime fishing.
There are some opportunities for younger people, but it's not a huge draw for them.

All of that is true (I think), but I was wondering why he (or she) said "advanced" manufacturing. What is the difference, with "advanced" manufacturing?

We actually have a lot of jobs available. Retirees need handymen and medical services. Medical infrastructure here includes a factory making medical equipment and supplies. (Not much highway, but we have railroad, and six airports.) Fishing industry has the support of two boat manufactures and at least one boat trailer maker. Hundreds of people to maintain cars, trucks, boats, and airplanes.

Yeah I’m not sure what is considered advanced manufacturing either.
As long as a person doesn’t have needs that are too specific, Mountain Home might be enough to offer what they’re looking for.

Here are some other posts from OP but still does not explain advanced manufacturing, other than computer related.
