I agree with the other posters: if there's one country that can give us all a lesson on how to recover from a disaster then it's Japan. I read somewhere that by 1948 the majority of Hiroshima had already been rebuilt. By contrast, London was far less damaged but I've heard there were still bomb sites all over the place well into the fifties.
The Japanese will definitely recover from this disasterstronger than ever. If they can rebound after the destruction of WWII, then they most definitely will come back after and earthquake/Tsunami/reactor meltdown.
Take it from someone who had to deal with Hurricanes Katrina, and Rita.
