Cost of living - OSAKA, than Kyoto. Tokyo is one of the most expensive cities in the world.

Entertainment and nightlife options - ALL 3, but Tokyo is largest with the most. But all 3 have stuff, for sure.

Friendliness and ease of knowing people - OSAKA. Famous for that, especially in comparison to Tokyo or Kyoto.

Transportation - ALL 3. All well-connected.

Culture - KYOTO, but really all 3. You'll see culture all over the place everywhere.

Weather - Kyoto/Osaka is a little more south, but basically it's all the same.
