Life is pretty comfortable for Singaporeans. They have the workers from poorer countries to do the low-paid hard jobs. In Japan, Australia, NZ and some other developed countries, these jobs are not done by a foreinger. Singapore's strategic location, economic policies and high level of education give Singaporean competitive among the nations in Southeast Asia.

Yes I have noticed this. Most labourers seem to be of South Asian origin over there.
