Chinese and Indians obviously eat more meat from both wet and super markets than the past.
Who cares about the foreigners liking wet markets or not?
People have their choices of frozen or fresh food.

the whole idea of stirfry - cooking oil is expensive,so is fuel and so is meat so stirfry is quick and tasty with little meat and plenty of fresh veggies over a bowl of rice.
Pork is everywhere-dumpling,won ton,springroll,stirfry,braised, soup,stew,BBQ,
One tradition before a woman is ready to give birth, the older women started to prepare a dish of braising pig feet in rice vinegar with hard boil eggs and ginger.
Vinegar will draw calcium from the bones, eggs provide protein and fat and ginger heals the wound, all good for the mother after giving birth

20 years ago there were dogs and cats to be eaten in cages in Southern Chinese cities. Now these can't be seen in Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Shenzhen. 20 years ago smoking in restaurants was legal, now there is a fine for this. 20 years ago no one care about seatbelts. Now seatbelts fasten or pay a fine . 20 years ago pickpockets and robbery were more common. 20 years ago more people wanted to move to richer countries than now. 20 years ago China can't test many people in a day during a pandemic.

Wet markets are not a problem so still exist like 20 years ago.
