Any one here from the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh? What do you think of the new proposal for the new capital?

Do you think it would make more sense to develop an existing city instead?

The new capital is being built outside the city of vijayawada, which is a densely populated city between a river and a mountain (hence no room to build). Land prices In that city are also extremely high because it's the place where many of the IT techies around the world come from (hence lots of NRI money flowing back into real estate).

I keep wondering about that; i hope it would turn out okay and not get bogged down in bureaucracy.

the budget for this capital is around 1 trillion rupees, somewhere close to 18-20 billion US dollars- just where the heck is the money going to come from.......
