It's not up to you to decide what India should do. Nor is it up to India to decide what you should do.

But he/she DID say that they SHOULD be solved, without even an inquiry into whether there are in fact any social problems critical enough to demand a solution. I did not put those words into anybody's mouth.
It is not useful to say "they" should do something, and then get off the hook by saying you don't know or care who "they" are, as long as "they" do what suits your own sense of propriety or your own culture's dogma.
This is a meaningless thread, unless someone demonstrates that India is any more racist than any other nation in a world where racism has evolved (through natural selection) as a universal paradigm in human culture. Given that India has, for centuries, had one of the most diverse populations in the world, it seems to me that they are getting along admirably well.
Practically every American fears that China's economy will dominate that of America, and if that is not racism, what is it? The Chinese are seen as a racially-distinct people, who are feared and must be subdued, for the defense of the racial purity of those who are not Chinese.
May be America should work with the Chinese to teach these Indians a lesson !
