Theese both have a very high HDI and a very high HDI adjusted with inequality

2 Australia 0,86
19 Japan 0,799
33 South Korea 0,736

While Theese have a very High HDI buth are missing crucial Datas to calculate its HDI adjusted with inequality which is unknown

7 New Zealand 0,91
9 Singapore 0,901
15 Hong Kong 0,891
30 Brunei Darussalam 0,852

Depending on the source, but typically they fall under API, Asian and Pacific Islander, which typically are lumped together.

Being lumped together doesn't mean they are Asian countries, it's just for convenience's sake.

No surprises there. Yeah, they added Brunei as well, which is not a surprise either. Not one anyone would think much about, but not a surprise its there.
