Why have the Georgian people not been in diaspora as extensively or as long as their neighbours, the Armenian people, even though the homeland of the Georgians as well as that of the Armenians has been conquered numerous times by surrounding powers and have been at various points roughly the same size? (I am talking about long before the 1915-16 Armenian genocide as well.) Because the Armenians have been more mercantile and outward-looking while the Georgians have been more rural and inward-looking (not to draw into stereotypes too much)?
