Plenty of good traits from the little japanese that are worth copying by not just the Chinese, but much of the world. I most admire not just their cleanliness, but the way they value and preserve what they consider to be beautify, and their effort to really develop what they consider to be beautiful. Miniature trees from China becomes high cultured bonsai in japan. Colored carp becomes the endless varieties of kois in japan. Tang dresses evolve into the elaborate Kimono. China has the originality to create beautiful things, but the Chinese are fickled, frivolous and love only flashy material things. The japanese take what's beautiful, and then they honor it, cherish it and fully develop it into a high art form. That's what I really admire about the japanese.
China has those things too. But they were only kept by the noble class which was completely damaged and eliminated in recent 150 years.
The last emperor of China became a prisoner. Many women from noble Manchu families became prostitutes...
Even my mother's grandfather was shot dead because he owned too much land.

None of my family were shot dead, but the government took a lot of my family's money away. My family came from the Communist Germany.
[quote=theunbrainwashed;39516061]Wait really? I'm guessing this happened in the past (I know it did in Cuba before).
It happened in Iran, Guatemala, Syria, Indonesia, Iraq, Congo, Dominican Republic, Chile, Argentina, and Nicaragua. Basically in these places the CIA overthrew democratically elected leaders and installed pro US dictators.
