Egypt has went to war twice with Israel. They got their butts handed to them both times. See "6 day war" and "Yom Kippur war"

I know Egypt lost twice..when they were proSoviets but once they accepted American aid (we pay you but don't go to war with Israel) they never threatened Israel again

getting back to that India-Pak competition, the remaining muslims in India seemed content? and there are more of them than those who left?

Most Indians and Pakistanis have moved on. The main driver behind continued strained relations are the Pakistani military's pathological obsession with rivalry with India and what can be described as either the Pakistani government's tacit support of anti-Indian terror groups (and the organized crime syndicates that partially fund them) or inability to do anything about them due to the influence of the Pakistani military.
