Those higher income economies of East Asia and Singapore have become less traditional, having children, and many children, were traditional practices. They have very low birth rates, even lower than Mainland China, which has a mandatory birth control policy implemented by the government. I know a few dozens married couples in the region who choose not to have any children. Schools are cutting places or closing due to decreasing number of students. Mainland Chinese are more traditional on having children.

You aren't going to have 10 children if you know all of them are going to survive.

Healthcare has drastically improved life expectancy which decreases the need to have many children.

East Asia population has been declining sharply mainly because of China's one-child policy. If China hadn't adopted the policy, China alone would have probably two billion people, but it would have greatly drained China resources and caused massive damage to the environment. Even at its current level, greater China has 1.5 billion people. It still drains more resources than it can replenish. Most likely in the next couple years, China will end its one-child policy. There will be a huge population boom. Majority of the people in China marry young. By the time they are in their 30s. They will have 2 to 3 children especially in countrysides.

China is being urbanized fast. China also has the highest women employment rate in the world. I don't think birth rate will increase much even if the policy changes in the future.

The only part of China that will see any increase in population is the rural areas. But, then again, I think they already have a high birthrate to begin with, they're just not counted in the 户口 I believe?

Only the West relies on mass immigration and destroying their cultural identity to gain a buck, the rest of the world isn't like that
China has destroyed their own cultural identity trying to repel foreigners.

Xenophobia and hanging on to dated traditions prevents Asia from becoming the economic powerhouse it could become.

How are preventing mass immigration from foreigners destroy their own cultural identity? That does not compute. What you are saying is akin to Europe will become more European with Muslim immigration.

On the other hand, the rest of the world doesn't operate on the cultural suicidal tendencies of northern Europeans and northern European based countries. Most of the world rejects the Protestant/Anglo model of life, and East Asia is doing plenty fine without the iinfluence of northern Euro whites

Every race has built upon each other's innovations. The Persian empire built on the Roman empire. Modern Europe built off the Persian empire and Qing dynasty. To evolve is to grow.

The glorified xenophobic and "traditional" tendencies are actually base, average, and quite pathetic characteristics of the human species which has added close to no value.

I swear the mainstream media brainwashed a lot of people into thinking unfettered and unlimited immigration is always good for the economy. It is far more nuanced than what most economists say and there is now a huge backlash (esp. in Europe) over how the elites have ignored what the public have stated about immigration. China and India are both the fastest growing economies in the world yet have almost non existent immigration. France has had a lot of immigration but has been mired in low economic growth for over a decade. You can mention Japan as a country that is not growing economically due to its restricted immigration but I can mention Finland and Poland as countries with low levels of immigration that are doing well economically.

Boy Finland's economy growth has been horrible these couple of years, about as bad as(or even worse) Italy and Portugal.

Their trade partners are the EU and Russia so why would it be doing well? Of course a lot of those countries have extensive immigration and are doing horribly especially Spain and Italy.
