Basically, just informing the Forum about OKINAWA TACOS. I used to teach English in Japan, and other locations in Asia, and very few people know that Okinawa has Taco Rice and their own forms of Tacos...mostly influenced from the U.S. Military bases.
For discussion purposes...What other foods do you know about Okinawa, and have you tried Okinawa tacos? I visited Naha a few years back, and I ate different types of Taco-related Okinawan foods, pretty much every meal I could! I love it.
I was in the Marine Corps but was never posted to Okinawa. However I know other Marines who were there as far back as the 80's and they still rave about Rice Tacos. Some have acquired recipes and still make them at home.
