It is such a shame what is happening in China. May God rescue them from their plight.

they could be nipping that global jihad in the bud though. They could always convert back to tengrism or tibetean buddhism to gain more sympathy.

I think xtianity would grow like wildfire in china like the taiping rebellion. Keep the commies on the edge. It disturbs their political power and mandate from heaven.

Did they register? Were the church buildings approved before construction?
China has its regulations, and if they do not follow the regulations this is the only consequence to be seen.

I am not saying the regulations are good, but it is not surprising at all. (No government will just let you build a church without any approval either.)

Repressing somebody for practicing their religion is wrong, but nevertheless, I don’t see how the Chinese people would benefit from the spread of Christianity in their country. There have been plenty of examples of repression and lack of freedom in majority Christian countries. Also I don’t think Christianity would spread like wildfire if the Chinese government would back off. That’s a popular narrative for the press in the US but I don’t think it is based on reality. What would the average Chinese citizen gain from converting to Christianity?

I just think freedom of religion is very important to have, regardless of your faith.

If you don't have that, you don't have a free society.
