I just want to pick up a few words and wondering why Trevor's use of "this is/is this" and "amazing/awesome" doesn't correspond to Google's Traditional Chinese translation, which I assume is Manderin. Is "daihowla" and "djigeje" Cantonese?

Yes, one would think that. But the words don't correspond with the google translation for traditional Chinese (Mandarin) on google translate. I'm aware there could be other contradictions. Maybe someone else can give a more confident answer.

What Google Translate? It is Mandarin. I don't need Google Translate to know it's Mandarin.
Yeah, that's definitely Mandarin, OP. Even with the little Mandarin that I speak and can understand, you hear clear Mandarin within the first minute, where the guy says 30 (years) = "sān shí" in PinYin and then says "hǎo de" (also PinYin) for "sure." You also here the "ma" as one way to signify a question. You also hear later on "Zhè ge shì" for "these are" when they were talking about the beef dumplings around 1:30.
Note, one thing that I did realize is that the text isn't always keeping up with the verbal speech, so that may be throwing you off, too.
