Yea, that's awful, but there are also awful videos made that paint unrealistically negative images of China as well. That's not helpful or reasonable either.

China may have a real estate bubble collapse or it may just fill out as more and more rural people migrate into cities. It's somewhat hard to tell and a large underlying issue with that is lack of transparency as well as lack of confidence in Chinese government data. Those are problems, but it doesn't make much sense to me to have firm pronouncements about coming collapse. There's also a lot of uncertainty given the strongly centralized top-down nature of XJP's government which also means anything happens to him, which can pretty random, can change the course of things pretty rapidly.
