SIngapore's population is about 5.5 million, less the elderly retired and young dependents maybe about 4 million active in economy, and 1.3 million of them
Are foreigners .. Sad
Well on a happy note it's aug 9 ,
An important day for Singapore..
I think anyone who isn't Malay is a foreigner. And Filipinos being closely related to Malays are less foreign to Singapore than all those people of Chinese or Indian-descent.

Nobody cares what you think and your views will not affect or change anything in/about SIngapore in any bit..
What is your problem with foreigners? Singapore is a business country basically existing due to foreigners, and it's just a tiny sliver at the end of Malaysia anyways. It's not like there is a 'true' Singaporean people who are under threat, which would be a racist argument anyways.
It's kind of funny that a country made up mostly of immigrants or immigrant ancestry going back fewer than a few generations would be up in arms on this, especially as the country relied almost exclusively on immigration to fuel its growth.

That's interesting.
When I visit Singapore, I always feel like the Chinese dominate the city. When I see the Malay, I always have that question mark if they are just visiting, or if they actually live there.
When I see Chinese, I often just assume they live there.
I have a feeling that UNION PAY exaggerated the number by just a little bit!
If there are 1.3 million foreigners working in Singapore, which the majority is mainlanders .. Pinoys which make up the 3rd largest is about 150K.. And add those dependents and those who are not working but studying in Singapore mainlanders.. 1 million is a reasonable number..
Speaking from a Singaporean
