We just had a poster, name of Yuma,AZ, post a thread today supposedly and innocently asking some questions of us. A fairly large number of known atheists rather openly and politely answered this obvious troll-post, and the original poster, though asked some questions in return, didn't bother to ever show up again.
The thread is now, for some reason???, closed. The mods know this person's a troll probably. The debate never even got heated, but most of us soon enough realized we'd been duped yet again by a set of obviously biased questions by a hit&run specialist (who's probably gloating somewhere now, with his friends' "Yup yup; we sure got them damned atheists, duddun't we Toothless Rufus?"), with such illuminating questions as:
"Why don'd'yah wannah be sayv'd and go to heavun?" Or
"Why are you so afrayd uv Christ'yannity?" etc. etc.
Let's ask: "Why do Christians all believe in bronze-age, stupid mythical nonsense?"
Got a good answer to that assumptive question, guys and girls?
Or: Why are some doggedly fanatic Christians that small-minded in general, as to think this is a meaningful and profitable way to communicate with those of us critical thinkers who refuse to buy into it themselves, or have thoroughly thought it all out for years or decades and decided it really is nonsense?
Well, don't expect us to be so nice next time Yuma, if you ever bother to come back.

The answer is that Christianity is a wonderful religion.
When some people give their life over to Jesus and let their image of him guide them through life, they are much, much happier. They feel the spirit of Jesus is right beside them at all times.
Of course, this only applies to people who, unlike me, need religious beliefs in their lives.

Eh. Just report the post the mods will eventually close it. I don't sweat it. I just ignore it. If some of us get duped in because we actually care about honestly answering a question to a supposed believer, it to our credit that we take the time to do so.
I don't feel I "got had" by a troll...I just answer honestly if the mood hits me and if they think it's funny or they gloat and are thinking they pulled the wool over my eyes, that just shows their stupidity, not mine...I know why I say what I say and what I'm talking about and I know I'm happy with my atheism...I don't need to prove it to anyone nor do I feel less because I don't have a fairytale in my life running the show...I just pass the time on here by posting, it's not of life importance to me.
I wouldn't let them get my pressure up, "consider the source" I always say.

Yep we got had, to and extent, and our now "not a member" troll is gone. I fully suspect that they are "not a member" not for what they said, but for creating a second account (or more...). If the only rule they broke was trolling, they would be in an "infracted time-out" and their status would not show as not a member.
My question is if someone is caught creating a second account, is the first one also suspended? And if so, which other account is now "not a member"?

I'm just sorry this isn't more open for all to see the cowardice that some christians will resort to to support their willful stupidity of bronze age spooks they apparently fear greatly.
What you say may get you at "time out", but creating multiple accounts is really frowned upon, nor is he the first to do so. I guess if one world view is a lie, then telling lies comes natural.
I think its pretty evident that these 'do you atheists ever...' threads are evangelical in purpose. They are intended to ask us questions we never asked ourselves before and make us re-examine our lack of faith and shake us up into becoming religious believers. The posters are not in the least interested in understanding us, let alone listening to our arguments and have no intention of entering into any kind of discussion. The O.p is usually also the Fin.. P.
