I once testified in front of The Maryland General Assembly because some idiot lawmaker wanted to push through a bill to make it legal to hold prayer rallies on public school grounds.

According to what I am reading from atheists here I should have just kept quiet and let them go ahead and make that law.
Activism must happen at times because we can't let these Christian fanatics get away with their public brainwashing, especially when it's aimed at children.

Good for you, John! That's awesome that you stood up for the separation of church and state. I think many Atheists are too comfortable with rolling over like a puppy and letting religious interests trample on our Constitutional rights.

I've been admonished for making a "big deal" about the picture of Jesus in the Ohio school. I feel that our best chance of changing attitudes toward gods is by providing an atmosphere to our children that they must use critical, reasoned, thinking to make their life choices. Displaying a picture of a literary character as Jesus, as if he existed, is contrary to this atmosphere.
Thank you for your efforts.
