If there's a 'caring' deity, how do you 'explain' the problem of an apparently 'indifferent' God/Nature? (meaning, Christians)

We, humanity, are his most perfect and awesome creation. Stars and stuff, I dont think they have souls, or free will, they just do stuff stars and suns do.

They are there to give life to us.
