Some years back while surfing on the TV I stumbled onto a religious show that had an unusual looking host so I stopped in just for a minute. This host was giving his predictable "be saved or go to hell" speech and just as I was about to change the channel he said, "if you are happy and content in your life then you are no friend of God!" WHAT! WOW! I called my wife over to let her see if this guy would repeat these words and sure enough he did and followed up with "suffering on earth is the way to salvation in the kingdom of heaven." I couldn't get over that, I wanted to laugh but this guy was serious. The TV dude and your photo might be the same religion.
Well I guess I'm no friend to his god, I'm going to burn

Reminds me of these guys from Monty Python and the Holy Grail:
For the two people on earth who've never seen the movie, these guys chant and beat themselves in the forehead with those boards they are holding.
Someone should estimate how many God has murdered in the Bible and compare it with Satan's track record. Do that and put it up on a sign somewhere.
True true. Theists and their dogmo-dictatorships are never constrained by civility or judicial balance. They acheive what they want, when and where they want it, by whatever means. This is blatantly obvious in modern Iran, in ancient Rome, Judea, Spain, hey; you name it. There are and were no behavioral limitations, and the writings of the times confirm the wholesale slaughter of innocents that always accompany the strict administration of "the faith".
This happens to also be the fervent desire, lurking just under the civil, smiling and respectful veneer, of many modern-day fundamentalist Christians in America. But...if they had their way in a totalitarian atmosphere, God help all of us quiet, calm and peaceful non-believers, because they'd be pounding down our doors one night. Krystal-nacht all over again, but from a different perspective. Same bad actors; different "cause".
I don’t know how to post a picture here, but I have two albums in my profile of church signs. Some are a hoot.
