The original was on Buford Highway in the late 80's/early 90's. It was dirt cheap, and was better than The Dillard House! Carved Roast Beef, country-fried steak & gravy, homemade chicken & dumpling, and catfish on the weekend. Tons of fresh veggies, and much more.

The location in Conyers still has family connections, but I have no idea, if the cookin' is still like mama used to make. I don't want to drive 30 miles, for previously frozen chicken, and canned veggies.

Just curious...

Thanks...

I have never been to either one you mentioned, but I Googled the Conyers one and one of the top results was a review website. It only had a couple reviews but both give it 5 out of 5 stars. One of the posters said they were a regular at the Buford Hwy one and this one is just as good and they have "the best food around."

Hope that helps!

Thanks! I think I'll give it a try sometime soon. Not that bad of a ride.
