I am a 25 y/o college graduate from Akron, Ohio. I moved in with my parents to save money to move to Atlanta.

I am an accounting supervisor and I have the privilege of living with my aunt and uncle in the Cascade area for free while I apply for jobs in Atlanta.

The questions I have are:
1. How much would you suggest I save before heading down? I'll be averaging $1500 a month in savings starting in July.

2. Should I be applying for jobs now even though I'm out of state? My cell phone is a 404 number. Should I wait?

3. What are your opinions on the Hamptons at Lenox apartments? They are ITP, faily priced and have plenty of space. ATL crime maps show little crime despite being near Buford Hwy.

Thank you all.

Since you have a plan and a place to stay in Atlanta for free you should be fine.

1. I think you should save a minimum of $10,000 before moving anywhere in the U.S.A without a job.

2. Definitely apply for jobs now even though you are out of state, but use your aunt and uncle's address on your resume.

3. I am not sure about the Hamptons since I am unfamiliar with the complex, but Savannah Midtown apartments is a great option located in Midtown ATL.

Apply now and save as much as you can. If your single you can get settled in a very short amount of time in GA considering the low cost of living..When opportunity knocks you have to answer..
