Currently located downtown at the Marriott Marquis, this great little institution will surely benefit from heightened visibility in Midtown. Also, the synergy with the High Museum should be amazing!

Cool. I must say I have never been, so with more visibility on peachtree, people like myself will think to visit. From reading the article MODA will need to increase revenue in the long-run to be sustainable in their soon to be new and expensive home in midtown. But like you said Jurban8, that heightened viability will translate into more money.

Yep, hopefully more people will discover this great little gem. I'm really glad they got rid of those two curb cuts that led into the parking area; I'm pretty sure there was more parking underneath that.

A former parking garage being renovated into a museum? I wish occurances like this would happen more often!

I didn't even know this museum existed. I need to go check it out.

The upper floors are going to be the offices of a big architecture firm, as well as an existing branch of the library system. The street level was formerly just a lobby and a recessed parking area, with a big awful driveway right off Peachtree. The firm (Perkins+Will) is moving from across the street and renovating this building to tight environmental standards. Just goes to show that mistakes of the past (curb cuts, not providing storefront space) can be corrected and Midtown will gain a new attraction

A great addition to the "heart of the Arts" that IS Midtown Atlanta! I too did not know about this museum! Let's hope they promote it well to attract the needed visitors.

Good point...and furthermore there is SO MUCH art in this city that many residents aren't even aware of, this being a prime example.
