All -

I'm going to be moving to either the Candler Park or Poncey Highlands neighborhoods soon, and my job will be right next to the ATL Airport (VA Ave exit). I am curious about how bad the traffic situation will be in the mornings, and if there are any recommended routes that could avoid the worst of it?

I am seeing a number of options to get to 75/85 including Freedom Pkwy, down Moreland to I-20, or Dekalb Ave to Edgewood. Also, seems like there is a longshot route taking me down Moreland further and eventually ending up on the Lakewood Freeway.

Thank you very much in advance!

I'd go with the Freedom Parkway option if you're departing before 7:45.

Freedom Parkway most likely. Moreland is frustrating as is the 20/85 interchange, and the Edgewood onramp is a real pain to deal with on a regular basis. I would think the commute will take around 30 minutes, depending where exactly your house is.

Third vote for Freedom Parkway.

All - thanks. Seems like Freedom Pkwy is a bit out of the way if I'm coming from Candler Park (around McLendon/Elmira likely), but if you think it would be a better option than Edgewood, I will check that out. Thanks again.
