"Annie Annie over the housetop" is what we used to yell. We used softballs, basketballs, footballs, Nerf footballs, and all kinds of other projectiles. :-)

1,2,3, Red Light! Oh, and another thing we used to like to do in addition to ALL the things you guys mentioned was slide down my grandmother's hill in her backyard on a flattened cardboard board box!

Heh. We used mini-boggans. The newer plastic boat-shaped sleds are a lot better (you can actually STEER them), but when I was growing up plastic roll-up mini-boggans and those stupid sliding disks were the "in" thing.

Random kids hurtling down the hillside -- recess ladies beware! Whump!!

Does anyone remember the "peddler" coming to rural areas. An ole school bus with a traveling store is what we had. You could buy the staple items or trade your farm goods for the "city stuff" Just another memory... Think about how different it is now!!

Used to draw squares on the sidewalk with chalk to play.

Guess it's still something that kids do now, too, maybe...
