Lengendary UGA broadcaster Larry Munson passes away at age 89 *| ajc.com

Comming from a die-hard tech fan, he will be missed. He was one of a kind in the business, there will never be a broadcaster like him. His broadcast would usually bring a smile to my face. My heart goes out to the munson family and the bulldog nation.

Rest in Peace.

Little piece of trivia: He has his own departure vector out of Hartsfield named after him. (Page 1 and 2.)

RIP to Larry Munson, and with that said....

UGA is the most overrated college football program ever.

Yeah Notre Dame really is, but people here in Georgia act like UGA is an elite football team, but they really aren't IMO.

I'd sure hate to see a thread about paying respects to Larry wander off into some debate about whether the UGA football program is overrated.

Any way you cut it, he was a legend in Georgia sports and icon for several generations.

And a Minnesota boy. I liked his style, though.

Sorry that was on me, I was trying to hijack it just to throw a jab at the 'Dawgs.
