Hey guys I know this has been talked over, but what do you think is the best way to meet singles in the Atlanta area? Also does anyone know of any good speed-dating spots?

Thanks!

Ok. For u its different. Join any church and join the singles ministry. Go to any walmart or target after church. Women have their guard down after church. Holiday parties, Atlantic station, the grocery store. Those are my favorites

What exactly is a single young professional?

Male: works in a call center?
Female: works in a call center or secretary?

What constitutes a "professional"?

I dunno about Wal Mart. It depends what type of person you're looking for. In my opinion, WalMart would generally have a lower selection of "professionals", while Target would be the better option.

I would say a grocery store is a good place(I tend to see a lot of beautiful women at Whole Foods and Trader Joes), also gyms are a decent place as well. Also perhaps just jogging around parks.

I can't comment on church as I'm not religious, but i would guess there would be a few females there, but personally I would think the our generation (i'm assuming younger... 30-35 years old or younger) doesn't go to church as often as previous generations have.

Oh for goodness sakes folks... Tink about one of the numerous singles organizations in town. Everything from dinner and theater, to travel and adventure. Just google the topic. You'll find plenty.

I've found that a great way to meet single young professionals is to join young professional groups on meetup.com. Or join an interest group of your choice on meetup such as running, wine tasting, hiking etc.

I agree with Miss_Consultant. I moved from Warner Robins to Stockbridge at the end of August and I joined a young professionals meetup group on meetup.com and have met a decent group of people. I admit I haven't been on any dates but I'm optimistic. You will simply have to get out and explore Atlanta.
