Has anyone taken the megabus from New Orleans to any destination? If so where exactly is the pickup location in New Orleans?

You'll have to look up the exact address, but it is really good. It is at some parking lots right next to the Quarter and a block or two away from Canal St and the Aquarium.

I haven't been on this route yet, but it has really peaked my interest as a possible cheap way to get to New Orleans and not having to deal with the hassle of a taxi to and from the airport on the other side of town from where I want to go. Although even with that time added up... it still takes more than twice as long as flying, but with airline tickets getting more expensive and gas prices rising it seems like a good option for just one or two people traveling there.

For Atlanta people... New Orleans is one of those places where a car is a burden if you are just doing the touristy things in town near the French Quarter. Parking is expensive in the quarter.

It is relatively cheap and easy to pony up the dough for a couple of short cab rides, than pay for parking in alot of places.

I'm taking this route to New Orleans next week. I also plan on going back in NYE and Columbus Day Weekend and maybe even Labor Day Weekend
