Any suggestions on where I could hold an event on 4-5 acres of land within or shortly outside of the city? I have a client looking to do a large scale "festival" that would include tents for food setup, horseback riding, small carnival games, stage w/local musical talent for about 300 attendees but with the various restrictions of a city park, we need an area that will be conducive to these activities.

I'd look at some of the closer-in farm-related attractions -- Cagle's Dairy and the like -- that have seasonal corn mazes, pumpkin patches, farm demonstrations, etc. If it's off-season for them, they might be amenable to renting their land and facilities, and in many cases they'll have portable toilets, concession areas, parking, etc., worked out, not to mention having experience working with the local government on whatever permits are required, restrictions are in force, etc.

Here's a somewhat dated list of this sort of place in the greater metro area (note that it includes church-based pumpkin patches, which aren't what I'm suggesting -- look for the petting farms, corn mazes, etc.):

The Atlanta area of Georgia Pumpkin Patches, Corn Mazes, Hayrides and More, Find Halloween and Fall Fun in The Atlanta area of Georgia!

Note that for live music, you're probably going to have to work closely with your host facility and the local city or county in order to ensure that you don't run afoul of noise ordinances.
