Hey everyone!

So there are only 10 days left til our big move to Buford, GA from Milwaukee, WI!

We have never been to the Buford area (I know... crazy that we're moving there sight unseen), so I'm wondering what there is to do with my 2 year old and 3 year old. I'm a stay-at-home Mom and love taking my kiddos out during the day to pass the time. I'm aware of the Aquarium and Zoo in downtown Atlanta, but what other things should I add to our to-do list?? Any great parks, local activities, playgrounds, little ice cream shops... things of that nature?

Any suggestions would be great!

That's pretty young but if you like to get outdoors, you'll love our county parks, top rated in the nation.
Bogan Park and Little Mulberry to name a couple. The latter being more scenic. The former having more amenities and activities.
There's also some day-use parks around Buford Dam.
Carvel on the corner of hamilton mill and buford hwy.

Thanks for this info.

Anyone else have anything to add??

Try playing in the fountain at Suwanee Town Center or playing at Playtown Suwanee playground followed by a trip to Yogli Mogli for frozen yogurt or Planet Smoothie (both at Suwanee Town Center). Also there is a nice playground at George Pierce Park along with ducks and geese. There is also an indoor kiddie play area at the Mall of Georgia.

In addition to the great ideas mentioned, a new Catch Air just opened on L'ville/Suwanee near 85. I haven't been yet but have been to the other Catch Air locations. Great place when it's too hot out or raining. You can also check out INK (Interactive Neighborhood for Kids) in Gainesville. It's a children't museum with different themed rooms to play in. Have fun!

My girls love INK!! It has a plane and police car for them to play in, as well as a pretend bank, beauty salon, grocery store, etc. It's in an industrial park in Gainesville so it doesn't look like much from the outside but it is alot of fun. Your kids may be a little young but another popular place is Skyzone in Suwanee, which is an indoor trampoline place.

Catch Air has huge jump houses, toddler play areas with ball pits and smaller jump houses for the little ones etc.... I'm not sure what the Suwanee location has specifically since I haven't been but the Cumming location has a huge "maze" type thing (I don't know how else to describe it), kids "excercise equipment", a dance floor, party rooms, etc... I've been taking my kids since they were under a year old (now 4 and 6) and they have both loved it!
