Megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar arrested (Atlanta: house, neighborhoods, office)

Fayette County deputies arrested megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar Jr. early Friday morning on a simple battery charge, Channel 2 Action News reports.

The charismatic pastor of World Changers Church International was released on a $5,000 bond, according to Channel 2.

Calls to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office seeking comment have not been returned. It's not known exactly what Dollar, known for his lavish lifestyle, is alleged to have done.

I never understood those megachurches.

When you sit in a gigantic auditorium with concert style lighting, jumbotrons, and are preached to by a guy wearing a fully tailored suit wearing gold cuff links and a Rolex watch.....ummmmm.....who do you think pays for all that?

There probably are some places like this that aren't crooked, but why would you possibly put anything in the collection plate at a place that so obviously doesn't need it?

I won't even begin to speculate as to why the neighborhoods in south Atlanta seem to be most often fooled by this. Oh shoot, why not, I guess I will.....they're more naive and less educated.

I never said there was a dearth of white idiots! I actually like them better because I'm allowed to call them out for being imbeciles without being called a racist.

Are we allowed to say his flock is a bunch of fools without being accused of that?

I guess I can because when I saw his picture in his suit and watch, I immediately knew anybody who would support him is a fool, but I didn't know where his church even was until I read the article. So I knew his flock was not wise before knowing what color they are.

Except, of course, for the people who went to the church without ever contributing to the collection plate. I'm sure there are a few of them, so they get a pass.
