sky's the limit! Xmas eve is a Monday this year and The majority of resturants will be open.
For myself and family, we have a tradition of Tex-mex on Xmas eve. And Chinese on Xmas day (Heb' tradition).

Invite me atlantagreg. I will bring butternut squash soup and/or pie. LOL--had a good crop this year--almost everything else really struggled in the heat.
Grows well in this area, jmo. Expensive vegetable to purchase--aren't they all? Loaded with vitamins A and C.

In response to the OP query--I think I would consider Christmas Eve in Virginia Highlands--close to 'Midtown' but the sort of food I prefer is found there.

'The Pleasant Pheasant' is a good place for French food. Don't know what they might offer around the holidays.

If you want to try the Lenox/Phipps/Buckhead area--Dante's Down the Hatch is an Atlanta tradition. Seafood, steaks, fondue and Jazz. Nautical atmosphere. One of my favorite places. Close to a lot of churches--if you might also wish to attend a Christmas Eve service.
