I am a young female professional with the opportunity to relocate to atlanta early next year. I will be moving from Hoboken, NJ.
Budget- under $1000
Condo/apartment- must be 1bed/bath, or 2 bed/bath
My office is in midtown, would like my commute to be less than 30 mins
Im a city girl, so im looking for a young area with a great social scene. I play zogsports in nj, noticed they have some leagues down there as well. I would like an area that has shops/restaurants/bars in walking distance. Definitely looking for an area i can meet people. I would be happy to provide more information, just beginning my search.

Midtown might have some places for that price. If its urban living you want stick to intown neighborhoods, eg: Old Fourth Ward, Kirkwood, Inman Park, Grant Park. Most of those listed are close to MARTA stations, which has 4 stations in Midtown.

Definitely stay intown. I grew up in NJ and moved here a few months ago. You're not going to find anything quite like Hoboken, but Midtown will probably give you the best shot at something a bit similar. For the budget, though, I'm not sure what you'll find. I looked at a couple of 1/1s in Midtown that were over $1,400. If you choose one of the other intown neighborhoods that were mentioned, the prices might be down slightly, and the distance to Midtown is negligible.

Does your office provide parking? That can be an important variable.

I would just focus completely on finding a suitable place in Midtown, honestly. It sounds like it's exactly what you want--shops and bars everywhere, sports leagues at Piedmont, etc. 1/1s do exist for less than $1,000, although you won't be in new construction with all sorts of amenities or anything. Look on streets like Myrtle, Argonne, Penn, etc.
