So instead of helping extend MARTA heavy rail into Cobb and Gwinnett Counties and uniting the area, each county wants to do their own thing. How does that work out?

Automobile infrastructure is obviously the main focus in Cobb. That's why we've seen things like the Macland Connector built over the past few years. Point to point connectivity in places where it was sorely needed.

For Cobb, it works quite well.

Some Atlanta residents in this forum seem to whine about it a lot, but for the life of me I can't determine why ... they claim the suburbs have little of interest for them, and the folks in the suburbs seem happy with the status quo. Sour grapes, perhaps, because of votes made 40+ years ago when the region was completely different? Who knows?

Want regional transportation projects? Create a regional commission with teeth. Anything else is nonconstructive, IMSNShO.
