Hey everyone...We are a Late 20s young couple old wanting to rent a house in or around Atlanta that has a yard for my dog, with a pool possibly. I will be commuting to Turner Field for work. Where is a good place to rent with a 20min drive to work. What price would I be looking at? Thanks for your help.

It'll be tough to find a house for rent with a pool within a reasonable commute to The Ted, without dropping some serious coin. I was renting a great little 2/1 freestanding house with a perfect dog yard for $1325 in the Ormewood Park area. Real easy commute to Turner from there. We loved living there.

I wish I was, but I am making only a fraction of what the players make. I am just looking for a nice neighborhood with room for my dog to run and also access to restaurants/bars for a fun spot to hang out. Does this place exist?

Maybe East Atlanta area, I think the rents there would be similar to what another poster mentioned, over 1K for a small bungalow house, 2 bd/ 1 bath with small yard. Pool is likely a no go other than an apartment or a condo for rent by a private owner. You may have to lengthen your commute to get more yard space and amenities.

It could range from $1k-$1.3k.

The neighorhood would need to be nice with good bar/restaurant scene. We like to go out to eat.

We are looking for a mix of urban life with ammenities...if this exists.

I think you should look into Grant Park. The neighborhood is right next door to Turner Field (depending on what part of the neighborhood you are in obviously, but no more than 3 miles or so). The neighborhood is bounded by Memorial Dr on the north, the railroad tracks on the south and east, and Hill St on the west. There are bars and restaurants in the neighborhood that you can walk to, and the number 32 bus the services Grant Park can drop you off right at Turner Field within a few minutes of being picked up. It is also an easy bike ride to work if that is an option for you. There are lots of young couples/young families around your age in this neighborhood, and with easy access to a great park, multiple bars and restaurants, and public transportation, it is a great place to live. You should be able to find a small house for rent in your price range, or at least come close to your price range. If you have any questions about the neighborhood, feel free to send me a private message. Good luck!

Kirkwood, East Atlanta, Cabbagetown, Edgewood, Reyonldstown, East lake. Lot's of young couples in these neighborhoods. In ground pools are tough to find because the size of yards in the early 20th century. Most of the lots in these neighborhoods have small street frontage, yet go back far. My house has less than 100 ft street frontage, but a deep yard.
