It doesn't seem terribly persuasive when it comes to spending money on freeways either.

I'm sure both projects would save travelers some time but not all that much.

And its easier and cost less to add capacity to rail-based transit than adding lanes to roads.

Rail capacity is not an issue since there is little demand for it.

Again, it gets back to the $700 million for 15,000 daily trips.

That's so 2012. Please provide a different argument than the same one, over and over.
There is demand for it, that is one of the largest employment centers in DeKalb County. It has no freeway connection and the roads are at capacity with no room for additional capacity.

I think a Fulton, Dekalb, and Clayton transit focused Splost would pass; maybe like 85/15 transit. Gwinnett is so iffy I would leave them out for now. Cobb seems to think they can do transit better than everyone else so let them figure it out. Definitey don't want Fayette county in nothing Atlanta does. They don't even want to be apart of the 10 county region and I say let them go!!

The same point still stands until it is effectively countered.

You don't have to pay for it now, so why do you still bring it up?
MARTA will get this line built using another funding mechanism; federal matching funds, bonds, P3. The line is needed and is part of the larger transit network to be built within metro Atlanta.

Everyone pays the money, just like some of our money is going to the 2nd ave subway in NYC. Its part of moving the country forward.
Part of my taxes goes to upkeeping 75 and 575 which I never use, yet I don't have the same selfish mindset as you.

It isn't selfish, it is concern for the future of the country. I oppose any wasteful spending, regardless of it's location/use. You appear to tolerate it and are happy as long as 'you get yours.'
