I will be there sometime this summer. Haven't set a date or month yet. A college buddy of mine just moved there about 6 months ago and she loves it, so hopefully she can show me a good time and I can network a bit.

Do a google search on job markets and you will see that Houston ranks among the tops and Atlanta is still recovering.

You see it all over this board with people who go months and years without finding work here.

Stop feeding misleading information.
Houston does have more to offer than ATlanta for jobs. Plus it's much closer to the ocean. Atlanta is very nice and I live here my whole life but sometimes I wonder about other places. Im sure everythign will be fine for you.

What is heavy rail? It can't be that great if I don't know what it is. And I already live here.

Our airport is big but I dont think she wants to live in the airport.

You should consider going to the AF Reserves and get in a career field that is more stable.

BTW, the economy is GENERALLY bad for people without a degree. People with a degree GENERALLY do not have a hard times finding a job, GENERALLY
I know a ton of unemployed and underemployed people in Atlanta all who have degrees, because really degrees are becoming a dime a dozen these days.

Lol, there are engineers with degrees in STEM who can't get jobs here. Are you saying engineering is worthless now?

Yeah, but you said degrees, it takes so much more than a degree to land a job these days. That's just one piece of the pie. I know three people with computer science degrees in Atlanta, one is unemployed, one was unemployed for almost a year and found a decent job, and the other one is underemployed making about $25k a year. Meanwhile people were telling us all in college that computer science was the way to go.
