Yeah, should be fine. Just make sure you walk out of the correct entrance from the lakewood Amphitheater where the bus is waiting. IMO, its better to drive though, since you are totally screwed if you miss your bus and traffic is not that bad anyways.

I don't have a car. I had a car when I bought the tickets. Got into an accident. Now carless.

Depending on the concert, traffic can be MISREABLE. Ive seen backups past University Ave on 75/85 for people exiting onto Langford for the show.

If you don't take MARTA, take a back way. I always take a route that uses Fair Rd to get there. But yeah, MARTA is fine down there.

Years ago, the marta bus/shuttle only operated for a brief time after the concert between station and venue, hence thats why we are saying "don't miss your bus!" . I would not like to be caught randomly walking in that area at midnight!

You will probably be raped and murdered and possibly raped again.

^^^^

Come to think of it, isn't that MARTA's slogan?

Some friends will be there so hopefully I can ride back with them. I know it's a bad area do I don't want to be out there. By myself at night.

I'm certainly not trying to scare you because I don't think it's the worst place in the world by any means.

However, if it were me personally I'd do more than just hope I could hook up with some friends. I'd have a cab (and cab fare) on standby, or somebody I could count on to come pick me up immediately.

I would not want to be standing around out there late at night by myself.

Well I made my trip to the venue safely and back. I made it there by MARTA way earlier than my friends who drove. I did end up getting a ride home. I wasn't so much concerned with taking MARTA there as I was taking it back at night.

I did have cab fare and a taxi number on standby. Since I'd never been to a concert there before I wasn't sure what to expect given how MARTA runs and the neighbood the Lakewood is in. There were enough cops and people out that I didn't feel unsafe and other people took MARTA in. Now I know what to expect when going if I'm not driving the next time. Thanks for the tips guys!
