PLEASE RESPOND IF YOU ACTUALLY DRIVE IT AT 600AM. IN THE MORNING. I Know everyone will say its horrible but I actually want to see how bad. My husband and I are desperate about moving to the north suburbs of atlanta Dunwood and he is working in Stockbridge. He leaves so early. We were told that the traffic is going the opposite direction and it is not bad that early.

You already have an idea just how bad it is but want to see just how bad it is?..come on down, then you can "see/feel" just how bad it is.

I run 575 down to 75 into downtown, getting off at exit 249C at around 6:15, and there's no traffic whatsoever. The overhead signs that show travel time to I-20 also show no traffic. I can't comment on the rest of the ride south from my exit, but I can't imagine there being an issue.

You'll be fine at that time unless there's an accident or major weather issues.

That ride will not be too fun, especially through the downtown connector.

Default Morning drive should be OK

Traffic southbound is relatively light (for Atlanta) before 7:00, and even less so on 75 south of 285 coming in from the north (Cobb Co). The heaviest traffic that early is on 75 north of 285 -- a lot of people get off onto 285, which clears up the drive on 75 towards downtown.

The downside would be the commute back after work. Atlanta's morning rush isn't that bad early in the morning, but there isn't a comparable "early bird" light rush hour after 3:30 or 4:00 in the afternoon. The 75 connector through downtown will get backed up in the mid/late afternoon, it becomes relatively clear driving on 75 north between the connector and 285, and then it backs up again once you're north of 285.
