I realize that it's not a listed neighborhood on the beltline's website, but just wondering if there would be the possibility of an access point within walking distance in the future? Does anyone know?

I believe the Inman Park MARTA station is as close as the BL will get to Kirkwood.

Never say never - Cobb County is looking at expanding their trail system to give Smyrna/Vinings direct access to the Beltline and that is a distance of 3 miles

It would be a great addition to Kirkwood and I think the only thing missing that other intown neighborhoods will have in the future.

Look up Pullman Yard on Google Maps and then follow the Trolley Line Trail West along Woodbine and Arkwright Ave. I believe the future plan is to connect the Trolley Line Trail to the Beltline Trail in Reynoldstown near Flat Shoals and Wylie Street. That would at least give you a walking trail connection. Maybe not transit anytime soon, but it's a start.

Thanks! I was just hoping for an access point to the beltline that would be walking distance from the neighborhood of Kirkwood.

Absolutely. It's only one neighborhood over. All of Atlanta will eventually be in walking distance of the Beltline, for people who are willing and able of course.

No direct connection, but if you follow the link: http://ivic02.residentinteractive.co...80718&sid=9604, it will show you the NPU-O approved PATHs.

Kirkwood is about 1.5-2 miles from the Beltline. The Beltline won't be any closer. So, I guess it just depends on what distance you consider walking distance. See below...

Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time...
