EMC are generally a little lower, in Price,

GP seem to do a little better fixing outages faster, if the outages are wide spread. They have more crews, and can bring in affiliated crew from other Southern (GP Parent Company) area.

EMC seem to fix local/small outages fast as there crew are more local. Big outages that effect many EMC at same time does push there mutual aid packs, and they have to bring in Mutual aid crews from father away.

But you don't have a choice you have to take who ever services that area.

I don't recall having an option of selecting electric companies - gas yes, electric no. I have had Cobb EMC but prefer Georgia Power. I'm not sure there's anything different about the reliability of the service worth mentioning, but Georgia Power is just more modern I find. Even when it comes to something simple like paying your bill online or reaching customer service, Georgia Power feels much less stressful. I suppose that Cobb EMC and Carrolton EMC are not the same, but I think the EMC operations might work the same.
