Fast forward to today. Lenox and Phipps are packing their bags and coming with it. They have no intention of losing their status as the premier shopping destination in our region.
What appears to be unfolding here in Atlanta is a battle royal between, primarily, the owners of Lenox and Phipps, Simon, and the OM crowd for the best in class luxury retail- a similar contest is occurring in Houston, Texas with OM's River Oaks project and Simon's Galleria with Om stealing Dior and Cartier from the Galleria to date- with the ultimate winner being Atlanta's luxury retail consumers.
