But I'm glad to see Nunn is looking up so far

This is exactly what I did and plan to do.

It's good that Nunn isn't facing a challenger who has won 11 elections.

And hopefully Perdue being a dobbleganger for Romney will help her.

The NRSC is so hoping to regain a majority in the senate, you know they'll be pouring in plenty of outside resources to keep their "safe" seat in Georgia. Super-PACs are already running anti-Nunn ads. Nunn has her own wide base of support too though, both grassroots in Georgia but also a much wider progressive grassroots nationwide who will turn out for strong female candidates in states that look flippable. Elizabeth Warren sent out a series of fundraising emails for female candidates in a number of states, including Nunn in Georgia. Some pretty well-placed Democrats seem to think she's got potential.

So far I'd say she's got more than that.

It's only a matter of time before GA is more solidly purple and a real battleground. I don't think it's there yet, but that said it's possible for her to win.

I'll vote for Michelle Nunn. Her father is iconic, David Perdue's cousin is not. Besides, she's a Democrat!

I think it could be very soon that Gwinnett and Cobb turn blue/purple, which would mean all five of the major counties would be blue and things could finally take progress in the Atlanta metro.

The fact that the Republicans are throwing out anything and everything at Carter and Democrats are sending in out of state money indicates they think the races are beatable.

Let's see:

Nunn:
UVA grad
Harvard grad (a policy maker with a degree in policy, imagine that)
Ran a charity for her life that was George HW Bush's legacy organization
Had a pretty high salary at that charity...but that's expected
Sam Nunn name brand exposure

David Perdue
Georgia Tech engineering grad
Georgia Tech masters grad
Georgia Tech trustee
Millionaire CEO
Sonny Perdue exposure (Negative thing)

Two outsiders vying for spot in the most polarized congress since the Civil War. Whoever wins, it's still a step up from Saxby.

It's obvious. For Georgia to be successful, libs need to leave social issues alone. Don't touch guns or gays. Focus on education and higher education. If libs can play good ole white republican to come across as a DINO, they can have Georgia.

I'm happy with this election. No Phil Gingry, NO PAUL BROUN and no Jack Kingston. AND.....no Saxby.
