Hi everyone,

Thanks for the responses.

My son did get his class schedule yesterday but he never did get his ID #. I had to call the school to get it, not a big deal. School started yesterday and his first day went smoothly and he seemed to enjoy it and he was impressed with the teachers.

I guess I shouldn't compare this to the schools in NY but I can't help it. This is new to all of us. That being said, I know I am not the only one that was really displeased with the way the Sneak a Peek went. I spoke to several of the other parents and the words they used to describe it was "nightmare" and "ridiculous". It was too crowded and not enough direction was given to the parents so they were basically just doing whatever they wanted (ie. crowding the hallways). Many of the parents were ticked off that they couldn't even get to the locker areas to try opening the lockers, because it was too crowded and people were literally tripping on top of each other.

Either way, hopefully the rest of the year goes OK.. and I'll try really hard to stop comparing the schools..

Glad the first day went well. Frankly I don't know why they were giving out lockers with parents there anyway, middle schoolers can handle that on their own and it seems obvious it would be too crowded in the hallways.

Thanks for cutting us a little slack, NB9540. We're trying but we Southerners are not accustomed to operating at the level of things up north.

Best of luck to you and your son.
